iOS4 with widgets?

– June 11, 2010

Wouldn’t it be nice to have such widgets on the phone with iOS4? People has to bother and check 5-6 different apps (start, close, start again or switch between) in order to get the status updates. Sooner or later, you will do it for people to buy your next generation phone, Steve!

iPhone 4G

– April 21, 2010

It is funny: a young unexperienced engineer forgets the Apple’s top secret new funky gadget iPhone 4G on the table in a bar! It doesn’t sound so realistic, but it’s true.

Apparently there is a device for sure, an iPhone 4G prototype; one might think that this can be an another marketing strategy. Weekday starts and baam! there is the news about iPhone 4G, since monday almost all technology blog, website, magazine has this on there first headline.

I didn’t like the prototype’s design, I hope they will come up with something way much better than this one, in June! I also have to admit that as an iPhone 3G user, I am not satisfied with the UI.

I liked what KIN is offering in their advertisements, websites and also Nokia’s Maemo based gadget. However I am not sure which one to choose before June.

I will play with them one by one and decide which one will be the successor of current iPhone 3G.

Was it because of Labyrinth??!!

– January 6, 2010

Yesterday while I was waiting for the boarding at the Dresden Airport.

I started to play the game Labyrinth on the iPhone (which one was a gift by 12 Days of Christmas app).

After playing 2-3 levels, I heard the announcement for the boarding. I pressed the home button as usual walked to the gate.

The day before my flight, I checked in using the mobile portal and got a mobile boarding pass, similar to Austrian’s above.

Unfortunately I couldn’t able to reach my home screen when the attendant asked for the boarding pass. iPhone stuck, no matter I did, I got no response. I tried to reset using the home and sleep button, somehow it didn’t restart.

At the end, I couldn’t show it and they checked my identity card and check my status on their screens and let me get the plane. iPhone betrayed me because Labyrinth corrupted it system files or whatever.

I send the reports over iTunes, hope it will help. Who would compansate it, if I would miss the plane? Illusion Labs or Apple?

Remember to calibrate your battery! MacBook, iPhone 3G and iPhone 4

– December 21, 2009

Just once in a month does sound acceptable! So give yourself and your MacBook a rest (actually you can continue working – no prob) and calibrate your battery for staying more time wireless. Here you will find the article about how this calibration is done.

For aliminium case macbook pro series;

- charge it full
- keep the cable plugged for 2-3 hours more
- unplug while the computer is on
- use the computer until the battery warning appears on the screen
- save your work and keep using it (ignore the warning)
- your notebook will turn itself down
- turn it off or allow it to sleep 5 or more hours (what about night or day long?)
- plug the power cable and let it plugged until LED light changes to green

Congratulations! Your Mac’s battery succesfully calibrated.

If you’re someone who wants everything tidy on your calendar like me, than you can get the iCal and merge it with yours. Same procedure is valid for your iPhone and/or iPod, if you own one.

For more information and tips, here you will find a very nice article.

P.S. If you notebook battery health goes below %80 before 300 cycles. You can request a replacement.
